While paper has always been the most thought-provoking canvas that invites boundless creativity, my journey with drawing and painting took a different path. I never came from any formal art class, so the easiest way for me to paint was simply to recreate pieces I found online, copying preset instructions. Instead of starting with the foundations of painting or composition, I chose to discover the joy and love for creativity first. At the end of the day, it’s all about having fun, feeling comfortable with yourself, and being that cool older brother your sibling can look up to and learn from!
Even though it no longer fits (gave it to my cousin), this hoodie resembles what creativity is to me. Made up of things my classmates like: Duc loves the rubik cube and Phat likes history. I want to tell the story, and the identity of each person in my class uniform, to preserve humanity through art and colors.
